It is a non-invasive treatment widely used for the improvement of cellulite and flaccidity, it is an effective, safe and simple alternative.
Radiofrequency produces a deep heating that affects the skin and subcutaneous fatty tissue. This heating willpromote lymphatic drainage, which will reduce the liquids and toxins in which the adipocytes of the cellulite-affected tissue are embedded. At the same time, there will be an increase in the circulation of the area which will improve the metabolism of the subcutaneous fatty tissue and improve the appearance of the accompanying skin. And finally and most importantly, Radiofrequency causes the formation of new collagen, both in the skin and in the subcutaneous tissue, allowing the entire tissue to acquire firmness.

The decrease in volume is justified by both edema reduction and compaction through connective tissue. It remains to be demonstrated the hypothesis in which a third mechanism would intervene in which the rupture or lysis of the membrane surrounding the fat cells would take place, contributing to the volumetric reduction.

As for the duration of the treatment, it is a variable time depending on the area to be treated. Small areas such as arms or abdomen are usually done in 25-30 minutes, larger areas can take 45-50 minutes per session.

The procedure is simple. The patient can return to daily life immediately, but should only avoid the sun for the following 24-48 hours.

The number of sessions is variable but it is considered necessary between 8 and 12sessions spaced a minimum of one week apart.
